As a pivotal member of our credit risk team, you will lead the comprehensive underwriting lifecycle for diverse Supply Chain Finance initiatives. This role demands a sophisticated blend of financial acumen and risk intuition to evaluate creditworthiness, conduct deep-pocketed due diligence, and structure robust financing programs for both domestic and international trade flows. You will be instrumental in building a high-caliber portfolio by balancing aggressive business growth with disciplined risk controls.
Beyond traditional assessment, you will act as a strategic liaison between Business, Operations, and Tech teams to optimize the credit journey. From analyzing cross-border export receivables to identifying early warning signals in vendor programs, your expertise will safeguard institutional assets while facilitating seamless liquidity for our partners. Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end underwriting for Supply Chain Finance programs, encompassing eligibility screening, financial analysis, and risk evaluation.
- Structure and assess cross-border SCF solutions, including Export Receivable Finance and Import Bill Discounting, while managing country and counterparty risks.
- Develop comprehensive Credit Assessment Memos (CAMs) that include risk ratings, pricing justifications, and specific covenant recommendations.
- Monitor the credit portfolio using early warning signals, GST trends, and aging buckets to detect and mitigate potential stress patterns.
- Perform rigorous fraud checks and authenticity validations on invoices, trade flows, and anchor-vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with Legal and Operations to ensure all documentation and sanction conditions are met prior to deal execution.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of credit policies, SOPs, and automated risk models.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 6–8 years of core credit underwriting experience specifically within the Supply Chain Finance sector (NBFC, Bank, or Fintech).
- Profound knowledge of SCF structures, including receivables, payables, and distributor/vendor financing models.
- Direct experience in trade finance underwriting, specifically dealing with export/import bill discounting and international risk assessment.
- Advanced financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret P&L, balance sheets, cash flows, and GST data.
- Proficiency in using credit bureau insights, KYC/AML frameworks, and Loan Management Systems.
- Exceptional analytical mindset with advanced Excel capabilities for data synthesis and reporting.
