Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Middleware Administrator to join our core IT infrastructure team. In this role, you will serve as a technical authority responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of our middleware environments, ranging from initial installation and capacity planning to complex debugging and performance optimization. You will act as a bridge between various IT departments, ensuring that our middleware platforms are perfectly integrated, documented, and aligned with our broader technological objectives. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional who thrives in a Level 3 support environment, providing expert guidance to internal teams while maintaining the stability and security of our enterprise systems. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our software services remain highly available and scalable to meet evolving business needs.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server operating systems and enterprise middleware services in alignment with operational standards.
  • Collaborate with the architecture team to define infrastructure standards and contribute to the long-term technology roadmap.
  • Provide advanced Level 3 technical support and troubleshooting for complex middleware issues across production and non-production environments.
  • Liaise with engineering teams and third-party vendors to coordinate system upgrades, design improvements, and problem resolution.
  • Execute capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure the highest levels of system availability and efficiency.
  • Enforce corporate compliance through rigorous adherence to data security policies and change control procedures.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Extensive technical expertise in managing web and application servers such as Apache Tomcat, Nginx, IIS, and Oracle WebLogic.
  • Strong proficiency in Unix, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
  • Advanced scripting capabilities using Shell and Perl to automate routine administration tasks.
  • Solid understanding of core networking concepts and their application within a middleware context.
  • Proven ability to document complex infrastructure environments for functionality and maintenance purposes.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative global team.
