We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our logistics team as a Fleet Procurement Specialist. This role is central to our operational efficiency, focusing on the strategic sourcing and acquisition of essential materials and automotive components. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a seamless supply chain, ensuring that all goods and services are procured at the highest quality and most competitive prices to support our fleet's continuous uptime.
Roles and Responsibilities
Identify, vet, and maintain a robust network of suppliers based on pricing models, quality benchmarks, and delivery reliability.
Oversee the full procurement lifecycle, including the preparation of purchase requisitions, Request for Quotations (RFQs), and the finalization of purchase orders.
Lead strategic negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contract conditions.
Coordinate the procurement of specialized auto parts and materials to meet specific operational and maintenance schedules.
Liaise with the accounting department to facilitate accurate invoice verification and timely payment processing.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts while avoiding excessive overhead.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of all purchase records, vendor contracts, and compliance data for internal audits.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field of study.
Between 1 to 4 years of professional experience in procurement, preferably within the logistics or fleet management sector.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with specialized ERP or purchase management software.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a proven ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.
Fundamental knowledge of GST regulations and basic accounting principles.
